    Mention this Website and Recieve:
  • In-Office Whitening - $100 off the In-Office full mouth Zoom whitening.
  • At-Home Whitening - $50 off of a set of upper and lower take-home whitening trays.

In-Office Tooth Whitening

If you prefer teeth that are immediately whiter, our In-Office Whitening System uses proprietary technology to significantly whiten your teeth in approximately one hour. Ultra-Blue laser, light-activated whitening gel’s active ingredient is Hydrogen Peroxide. As the Hydrogen Peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and removes surface organic staining materials that cause discoloration. The result yields whiter teeth, while preserving the integrity of the tooth. The light aids in activating the Hydrogen Peroxide and helps it penetrate the surface of the tooth. The whitening gel used is a high concentration only used in a professional dental office setting. This option is ideal for anyone who wants immediate results. In addition to the In-Office Whitening procedure, you will also be provided with the complete At-Home Whitening System, which includes custom whitening trays, whitening gel, and instructions for specific application.

At-Home Tooth Whitening

After impressions are made, custom whitening trays will be processed and will be ready for you in a day. We will provide you with syringes of professional whitening gel, specific to your dental condition, to be placed in these clear custom trays. The whitening trays will be worn approximately 2 hours per session and noticeable changes apparent after the first application without altering tooth structure or existing dental work. When your teeth reach the brightness you want, only occasional “touch up” treatments are needed to maintain your new smile. Optimal shade changes are typically seen in two to three weeks, after wearing the trays a couple hours daily.

Dental bleaching can be used to correct many tooth discolorations. These discolorations may be caused by staining, aging, or chemical damage to teeth. Using the latest in teeth whitening technology, our office can offer a safe, effective method for creating that beautiful, “brilliant” smile.

Benefits of Tooth Whitening

  • Works on people of all ages
  • Corrects yellow, brown and mottled tooth staining
  • Permanent solution to restoring teeth to their original brightness or increasing the level of whiteness
  • Helps blend pre-existing white spots with the darker, surrounding natural tooth structure

Frequently Asked Questions about Tooth Whitening

What is tooth whitening?
Whitening or “Bleaching” is a process using a concentrated percentage of hydrogen peroxide or its derivative, carbamide peroxide, which is suspended in a gel that lightens discolored enamel.

Should I have my teeth cleaned prior to whitening?
Yes. This is highly recommended. By removing any existing stains, plaque, and calculus from the tooth surface, the whitening material is significantly made more effective. In some instances, the bacterial colonization attached to the teeth may actually neutralize the whitening gel, causing it to be totally ineffective.

Is tooth whitening safe?
Yes. Research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. As with any tooth whitening product, it is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women.

Is there a difference between over-the-counter whiteners and professional whiteners?
Yes. Consulting our office is always the first step to whitening your teeth safely. Over-the-counter tooth whitening strips, brush-on gels and toothpastes take weeks to months to whiten your teeth just a few shades. A majority of these products do not even work; they are gimmicks. Most likely, someone using what is available over-the-counter, will become discouraged because they did not get the results they wanted or spent too much money on something that did not work. For example, the whitening strips lay over the front surface of the teeth. If the teeth are not perfectly aligned, the strips will miss surfaces, resulting in different shades among the teeth.

Do the results last a long time?
By following some simple post whitening instructions, your teeth will be much lighter than they were before. We recommend brushing, flossing and rinsing at least twice daily. Occasionally, touch-ups using the At-Home setup may be necessary. Most patients touch-up 1-3 times a year.

Are there any side affects?
Most patients report no sensitivity. However, about 10% of patients report experiencing temporary increased sensitivity. These symptoms disappear within 1-3 days after completion of the treatment. Basic over-the-counter analgesics such as Tylenol, Advil, or Motrin can be used according to manufacturer’s instructions. Patients are encouraged to contact our office if there are concerns or questions.

How is the Take-Home System different from the In-Office System?
The main difference between the two systems is that you use the At-Home system in the convenience of your own home, over a series of applications. The In-Office system is performed entirely in the office, with a high professional concentration, for optimal whitening results in less than 60 minutes. Note: You also get the added benefit of the complete At-Home system utilized for touch-ups, when purchasing the In-Office procedure.
